秋頃からその人気（着用者の絶対数）は広がり冬も継続しています。

人気のスタイルをひとまとめで言い表わすと、”アメカジ”であり、
タイプ別に分けると「ミリタリー系」「スクール系」に分かれ、
アイテム別に見ると、「MA-1」「スタジャン」に分かれます。

ところで昨今は「このルックは、～系だね」などと、すっきりと分類できなくなりました。
ミックススタイルの上に個別化が重なったためです。
個人的評価は抜きにして、
この現象は ”認知的複雑性の向上”知的成熟度が進化している表れだと捉えています。


さて、
今度はアイテムをデザインの視点で切り取ってみますと、
３つのテーマが浮かび上がってきました。
2014年のデザインキーワードとしてキャッチしておきます。

「無地の異素材ブロッキング」
「アシメトリー」
「スポーティー」

1.「無地の異素材ブロッキング」
同系色・異素材で切り替えたデザインがポイント。
特に色の使い方が特徴的で、
カマイユ配色、ドミナントカラー配色、トーン・オン・トーン配色など、微妙な色さをつけたカラーリングの面白さを追求。

2.「アシメトリー」
左右の非対称性をどのように作り出すか？がポイント。
配色切り替え、素材切り替え、ディティール切り替えなど、手法と感性のベストマッチを目指すこと。

3.「スポーティー」
スポーツウエア等に見られる特徴的要素を分解し、他の何とミックスして新しい商品を生み出すか、料理の腕前がポイント。
リブ使い、ストライプ使い、ナイロン素材使い、ジップ使いなど。

Short jackets are this season's trend item.
Popularity (people actually wearing this item) of this trend has bloomed since the fall, and the trend is continuing into the winter.
The style is "American Casual" in short, but it can be divided into "Military" and "School" by style, and "MA-1" (bomber) and "Stadium Jumper" by item. (The bottom row of photos are the ladies' "Mode Mix")

These days it's hard to determine certain styles easily; for example you can't just say "this look is that style". This is because mixed mode is popular and people became more individual with their fashion style.
Apart from personal assessment, I think this phenomena could be seen as an "improvement of cognitive complexity", which proves that intellectual maturity is evolving.
Well, looking at these items from the design point of view, you recognize three main themes.
I'm adopting these three designs as keywords for 2014: Solid bi-colors in different materials, asymmetry and sporty.
1. Solid bi-colors in different materials
The feature of this design is the use of different materials in solid colors. The color utilization is especially characteristic: camaïeu color scheme, dominant color scheme, tone-on-tone color scheme etc. The idea is to use subtle colors to make the item interesting.
2. Asymmetry
Creating asymmetric patterns is key. Switching between colors, materials, details etc., aiming for the best match between technique and fashion sense.
3. Sporty
The essence here is to break up the classic elements of sportswear and mix it with something different to create a new product. Like cooking. Use of rib, stripe pattern, nylon material, zippers etc..
