2013冬はコートがトレンドアイテム。
綿系素材ではトレンチコートが代表。
11月頃からウール系が拡大し、いくつかの部分集合を確認しています。
1.「スタジャン風」に、袖を合皮で切り替えたデザイン。
2.「チェスター」バリエーション。
以上が立ち上がり期、印象に残ったデザインです。
ところで、コートのコーディネートアイテムは何でしょう？
今回注目するのは ”コートインアイテム”。
「スエットパーカー」「タートルセーター」の２アイテムです。
どちらも無地系のシンプルな着あわせですが、昨シーズンにはあまり見られなかった
新鮮コーディネートであります。
とくにタートルセーターは長らく低迷していたもので、
来年大きく拡大する可能性を秘めたディティールであると思います。

Hello there,
The coat is a trend item for winter 2013. The trench coat was represented in cotton material; but starting in November, wool started making an appearance, so I was able to spot a few subsets. 
1. The studio jumper style: the sleeve is made of a synthetic leather design.

2. Chester variations.
These are the designs I remembered regarding this new trend.
What is the item that is coordinated with the coat? Today I focus my attention on the "under-the-coat" item.
The "sweat parka" and the "turtle sweater".
Either one is from a plain fabric and simple combination, which we didn't see last season. It's a fresh combination. The turtleneck sweater has especially experienced a long slump, so I think it's an item that harbors the potential to expand big-time next year.

今シーズンのチェック柄。11月前半の時点で気になった柄とアイテム、またそのルックをチェックしておきます。
全体を通して言えることは、クラシックトラッド系のチェック柄が復活したという点。
適用アイテムはシャツ、パンツ、ブルゾン、ジャケット、、、ほぼ全て。
また柄の色彩にも変化が見られ、大勢である「カラー化」と、その反対の「地味化」が挙げられます。
「カラー化」とは、例えば格子の一部分を鮮やかな色糸使いが成されたもの。
ウインドーペーン的なトラディショナルな柄域がボリュームゾーンになると思います。
また写真のように大きくブロッキングしたような入り方は新鮮に映ります。
「地味化」とは、シックな落ち着いた色目で作られたカマイユ配色、ドミナントカラー配色のこと。
この配色傾向は 2014春にも繋がり、時間経過で色やけしたようなスモーキーでぼやけたチェックが登場すると予測します。

This season's pattern is plaid. An item caught my attention early in November, so I've been checking out this look.

The classic traditional plaid pattern seems to be in revival. I've seen it in shirts, trousers, blouson, jackets... basically everything.
You see some changes in the patterns and colors: you can point out the majority as being "colorful" as opposed to the "plain color".
For instance, in the colorful plaid you see the use of one colorful thread inside the pattern. As you can see in the pictures, the insertion of large color blocks gives a very fresh feel.
The "plain color" plaid is a Camaïeu* color scheme, made with chic, composed colors and one dominant color. This trend corresponds to the 2014 spring colors. I predict that the next appearance will be smoky, blurred plaid patterns: colors that look like they've faded with time.
(Camaïeu is a technique that employs two or three tints of a single color, other than gray, to create a monochromatic image without regard to local or realistic color)

グレーで全身をコーディネートした人物を３名キャッチしました。
着用者層の質も比較的良さそうに見えたのでメモします。
これは「ワンカラーコーディネート」と総称されるもので、ニッチな存在であります。
クラシック＆トラッドの流れを多少汲んだスタイリングで、
スポーツミックス、プレッピー、ルーズなど、幾つかのトレンドキーワードで構成されています。
今回はＭＤに使える鮮度あるキーワードを抽出しておきます。
「ルーズ表現」：
ゆったいシルエットのインナー。長い着丈、長い袖丈（写真中央・右端）。
「ウールのセットアップ」：
ウールコートとウールパンツのあわせ。裾をロールアップ（写真左端）。

With my camera I caught three men who coordinated their entire outfit in gray.

Since the wearers made a good impression on me -as they were quite tasteful people - I made a note of it.
I titled these photos "A One-Color Outfit Coordination". It's a niche existence.
This style belongs to the school of classic and traditional and is composed of several trend keywords such as sport-mix, preppy and loose.
Loose - an inner garment with a loose silhouette. Long in length, with long sleeves (middle and right side pictures).
Wool set-up - a combination of wool coat and wool pants with the hem rolled up (left side picture).

かわいい図柄のインパクトトップに注目します。
まったくの少数派ではありますが、この現象の背後にあるのは
2014S/Sデザイナーズコレクションにも見られたコミカル・キッチュなグラフィック使いです。
「Jenny Faxの少女漫画風イラスト」「ノゾミイシグロの古着風」「PRADAの絵」
「DRESS CAMPのスマイルやスカーフ風」など印象に残りました。
今回はメンズ２・レディス１で確認しました。
動物をキャラクター化したもの２、ケーキやスイーツ（に見える）１のカラフルでPOPなタイプでした。

Today I am focusing my attention on the cute pattern impact top. It's a very small and limited style, but the inspiration behind this is the comical and kitsch graphics seen in designers' collections for 2014 S/S.
"Jenny Fax's girl cartoon style illustration", "Nozomi Ishiguro old clothes style", "Prada picture", "Dress Camp's smile mark and scarf", are the impressions I got.
This time I spotted two men and one woman, two with animal like characters and one colorful pop style type of (what seemed to be) cakes and sweets.

ジャケットが復活しています。
テイスト軸で見ると大雑把に２つの方向性があると考えています。
ひとつは「クラシック・エレガンス/ドレッシー」もうひとつが「カントリー・トラッド/カジュアル」。
今回注目する２ルックは、ジャケット単体で見ると「クラシック・エレガンス/ドレッシー」に属しますが
スタイリング全体で見るとテイスト・ミックスコーディネートである。という事になります。
参考までにファッション後進国では、アパレル業界の人達でさえこの事を理解することが困難で、
質問と回答のやりとりを繰り返すことになります。
原因はファッションの歴史が浅いから。知識経験の積み重ねの薄さが不理解につながっているのでしょう。

さて、
ところでこのジャケットルックに共通するものは何でしょう。
モード感（独創性）、無地感、コンパクト感・・・
それぞれ、シルエット、素材、ディティールトレンドに合致しており、
流行の２４年周期環がそれらを裏付けます。（「流行の２４年周期環」とは私の作った指標図です）
なぜ共通性を見つけようとするのか？
リーダー層から共通性を取り出し、社会の連環と照らし合わせ、
経済とどう関係しているのかを理解することが、
正しい予測の下ごしらえとなるからです。

The jacket has made a revival.
When I look at the taste axis, I see that it splits into roughly two trends; one is "classic elegance / dressy" and the other is "country traditional / casual".
The two looks I'm giving my attention to this time belong to the "classic elegance / dressy" group; however, the overall style of the look is comprises mixed tastes.  


What is the common point between these two looks?
Mode sense (originality), solid color, the compact feel...
Respectively, the silhouette, material and details follow the trend and the fashion 24-year cycle backs this up (the 24-year cycle is an indicator that I've created).
Why am I trying to find commonality?
I extract the commonality from the lead tier and compare it with society. Understanding how it's connected with the economy will allow for correct predictions.

男女ともに、スエットルックが復活したシーズン。
女子はビッグシルエットでクルーネック プルオーバータイプに人気が集中していたと以前レポートしました。
メンズはゆったりめシルエットである点は共通していますが、
デザインはクルーのプルオーバーとパーカーに分かれているようです。
パーカーもプルオーバー型で、業界発信型トレンド「プルオーバー」に合致している点に注目してください。
秋は１枚着でありますが、冬はコートを羽織ることになります。
コートのデザインはチェスターフィールドがベストマッチ。
そういう点ではスエットのシルエットはビッグシルエット１枚着との中庸を狙ったサイズ設定が成されたものと、
初めからコートインで設計されたスエットとの２つが存在していると考えられます。
両者の違いは着たときのシルエットにあらわれ、着た人はその差を敏感に感じ取るでしょう。
（少なくともファッションリーダー層は）
彼等はその違いの背景をちゃんと理解しており、ブランドの姿勢として受け取り、
人に伝達してゆくことになると考えます。
たかがスエットされどスエット、気が抜けませぬ。

The Revival of the Sweatshirt

Hello there.
This is the season that the sweat look returns, both for girls and boys.

Earlier, I reported on the fact that with girls, the big silhouette crew neck pullover type is gathering popularity. The men's loose silhouette is the common trend, but the design is divided into crew pullover and parka. The parka is also of the pullover type, but pay attention to the fact that it matches the industry induced "pullover" trend.
In the fall you wear it by itself, but in winter you have to wear a coat over it. As far as coat type goes, the Chesterfield is the best match. In that respect, we can think of two types: a moderately sized big silhouette to be worn on its own, or a sweatshirt fixed into the coat to be worn together.
The difference between the two appears in the silhouette when wearing it and the person wearing it will be able to feel the slight difference (at least the fashion leading tier).
I believe they understand the background behind this difference and will accept it as a reflection of the brand and pass it on to others as such.
It's only a sweatshirt, but there's a reason sweatshirts are eternal and everybody has a few favorites.

コレクショントレンドとして、「スポーツミックス」に注目しています。
2013年春に第１波が到来し、2013秋冬にその流れを受け継ぎ、
2014年春にメジャー化すると予想し、アパレルデザインに取り込んでいます。
そしてこのプロセスは、
「レディスで先行したものがメンズで進化する」という昨今の構図とも合致しています。

２枚の写真に共通するのは、リアルにスポーツブランドのアイテムを取り入れているところ。
一方はナイキのキャップ、もう一方はアディダスのパーカーですね。
ミックススタイルであることが望ましいわけですが、
ポイントは、「～風」でごまかすことでは無いという点です。
スポーツ風、スポーティなデザイン、という感覚では無いという意味です。
例えば左の着こなし方。
アイテム個別に分解してみると、ミリタリー、スポーツ、パンク、トラッド、アメカジという要素に分けられます。
これは異なるファッションタイプ・テイストのアイテムをコーディネートで切り替える、
「テイスト ブロッキング」という考え方が出来ます。
今シーズン新しく見えるスポーツミックススタイルとは、
「テイスト ブロッキング」で構成し構築されたコーディネートであると言えそうです。

Today I'm focusing my attention on the sports mix as a collection trend. The first tidal wave arrived in the spring of this year and kept flowing into the fall-winter. It is anticipated to become a major trend in summer 2014 and is being integrated into apparel design.
This process matches the progression of previous years: "women lead the trend and men develop it".


The thing that the two photos have in common is that both outfits integrate items of an actual sports brand. The one is Nike cap and the other is an Adidas parka.
I am quite in favor of mixed styles; the point is not to try to create an outfit to look "like" something else. I mean to say that it doesn't have a feel of being sports-like, or a sporty design.
For example the outfit on the left.
If you analyze the outfit, you see that it's composed of elements such as military, sport, punk, traditional and American casual.
This is a way of converting an item of different fashion types (or tastes) into one style by coordinating them in one outfit, thus creating a concept called taste blocking.
You could say that the sports mix style you see this season is an outfit coordination configured and composed by taste blocking.
